Solar financing.
There are four ways to pay for solar: a loan, cash, a lease, or AEC's own prepaid lease, and the loan and the lease can both start at $0 down. An AEC Solar Energy Advisor prices all four side by side for your address and recommends the best fit.

The best financing, found for you.
We've been arranging solar financing since 1991 — lenders and programs across the country — so you see the best option available, not whatever one lender happens to be pushing. Some homeowners should lease, some should take the loan, some should pay cash, and some should prepay a lease. We'll tell you which one you are — and we'll never put you in financing you don't need.
Your loan payment replaces most of the bill. When the loan is paid off, that payment becomes savings too.
Illustrative, not to scale. Your proposal shows the real numbers for your address.

How do I know which option is the best fit for me?
That's the conversation. Your budget, your tax situation, how long you'll stay in the house, and whether you want to own the system can each point to a different answer. So an AEC Solar Energy Advisor prices all four side by side — loan, cash, lease and AEC's prepaid lease — and recommends the one that makes the most financial sense for you in the long run. In plain English, with the math on the table.
Do I need money down to go solar?
No. Both the loan and the lease can start at $0 down — the difference is what the monthly payment buys. A loan buys the system; a lease buys the power. And if writing a check beats them both for your situation, we'll tell you that too.
What's the difference between a monthly lease and a prepaid lease?
With both, the system is owned and maintained for you while you use the power; the prepaid option is AEC's own prepaid lease. With a monthly lease, you make a predictable payment each month. With a prepaid lease, you pay for the lease once up front, and that amount can be financed, so there's no lease payment each month. Your Energy Advisor will price both side by side.
Why do solar loan rates look so low?
Because the rate is only half the price. Most solar lenders charge the installer a 'dealer fee' for that low rate, and it gets baked into your system price — rarely itemized. A low rate with a big fee can cost more than a higher rate without one. We show you the true cost of the money, not just the rate, so you can compare loan against cash honestly.
What happens to a lease if I sell the house?
It transfers with the home — the buyer takes over the payment and the low-cost power that comes with it — or in some cases it can be paid off at closing. It's a standard, well-worn process. We walk you through the exact mechanics before you sign, not after.
