Certified, accredited & independently vetted
Since 1991, we've engineered energy — not just installed panels.
Most solar companies are sales shops that sub out the engineering. We're the opposite — and it's exactly why we can make the financial case most installers can't. We design every system around your building, loads, and rate structure, not whatever's easiest to sell.
In-house engineering & designSized to your real usage, site, and utility tariff.
One accountable partnerAssessment, permitting, interconnection, install, and support — under one roof.
5,000+ installationsA real track record across the Northeast and nationwide, not a sales pitch.

Solar pays you twice.
Payoff 01
Once on your bill
Make your own power for 25+ years and stop buying it at next year's rate — money back every month.
Payoff 02
Once on your balance sheet
Every dollar you stop spending lifts your NOI — and gets multiplied into what the building is worth.
The math your competitors skip
Property Value = NOI ÷ Cap Rate
Your electric bill is an operating expense. Cut it, and your Net Operating Income rises by that amount — then gets multiplied into what your building is worth.
Added property value per $1/yr of energy saved (5–7% cap rate)
A realistic facility energy saving…
…in added property value, the day the system turns on
Federal, state, and utility incentives change over time and depend on your project and timing. We'll walk you through what's currently available and model your exact numbers — no guesswork.
See it for your building.
Two sliders. Watch both payoffs update live — the savings on your bill, and the lift on your balance sheet.
The rate used to value income property. Not sure? 6.5% is a fair default.
Assumes a well-sized system offsetting roughly 72% of usage on a building where the owner pays the electric bill. Savings shown are before system and financing costs. Figures are estimates for illustration only.

The questions businesses actually ask.
Is there still a federal tax credit for commercial solar?+−
Yes, with a deadline. A business solar project that starts construction after July 4, 2026 must be up and running by December 31, 2027 to claim the federal investment tax credit. Projects that started construction by July 4, 2026 aren't held to that date. Design, permits and utility approval take months, so we map your timeline in the first meeting. Your tax advisor should confirm what your business can claim.
What do you need from us to price a project?+−
Your last 12 months of utility bills and the roof or land you want to use. Fifteen-minute interval data from your utility sharpens the design. If your utility can't provide it, AEC Solar can install a meter to collect it.
How can a business pay for solar?+−
Cash, a loan or a lease. Our AEC Capital team lines up third-party lenders and approvals for you. AEC doesn't lend directly.
Will solar work on our roof?+−
We check the roof's age, structure and layout first. If the roof needs work, we plan for it before the panels go on. If it isn't a fit, ground mounts and carports are options.
Do you only work in New York?+−
No. AEC Solar installs for homes in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and New Jersey, and takes on commercial projects nationwide.
